Men’s “Special Ops” Ministry

Tecumseh PCG Men’s “Special Ops” Ministry is led by Shane Mills.  We have a Bible Study the first Saturday of every month (except July & December) from 10:00am to 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall.

Why do we call our ministry Special Ops?  Because the US Military Special Operations Groups are the most fearsome, ready for battle individuals in the world.  We believe that as men, called by God to be the leaders of their church and home, we too need to have these traits.  We do not have to be the loudest during worship, pray the longest, or be Bible scholars but we need to have the closest relationship with Jesus than anyone in our home.  We must be the ones who go behind the enemy lines to prevent battles that will be coming against our family, church, and community.  With the authority given to us by the blood of Jesus Christ, and the power given to us in the name of Jesus, we must stand on the frontline of the battlefield.  We must stand in the gap for our loved ones, church family, and community.  That being said, our mission is to sharpen the weapons of our veterans and to assist in forging the weapons of the next generation.  

We believe the 4 characteristics (listed below) are the key components to becoming the leaders that God has called us to be:

1. SUBMISSION – We must learn to submit to God, those who have been placed in authority over us, and to our family.
2. WISDOM – We must seek Godly wisdom for situations that will come up in our churches and in our homes.
3. LISTEN and ADAPT – We must listen to those around us and in our homes, so we can adapt to whatever the situation is without compromising biblical teachings.
4. MENTORSHIP – We are called to lead.  We must pass down what we have learned.  The experiences that God has given to us are no good if we keep them to ourselves.
